Surrender
To surrender a bird you must first call ahead. We accept surrenders as long as the shelter has space available. Bird's must come with a cage, a days worth of food and any toys they are attached to. To surrender a bird to Seymour's you must fill out our surrender form either at our shelter or online. If applicable to please inform us your bird primary veterinarian so we may contact them.
Is there a cost to surrender?
No we do not charge for surrendering birds to the shelter.

Do I need to provide a cage?
Yes, birds can get anxious in a new environment.

I changed my mind can I get my bird back?
No, if you surrender a bird to Seymour's you forfeit all legal ownership of your bird, we take surrenders seriously. In rare extenuating circumstances we may make an exception.
